Some Awesome and Totally Relevant Quotes

I made a list today of things I need to get done, and I just finished one of them. (Run 3 miles).  I’ve been lazy lately and so I actually had to walk a little up some of the hills.  But I was encouraged to see so many McCain/Palin signs up around the neighborhood.  And we are a very middle-class neighborhood.  No rich people here.  Just hard-working Americans who want our kids to be able to dream big and achieve and enjoy the fruits of their labor.

I’m taking the easy way out on another of the to-do’s on my list. (Post on blog).  I found these fantastic quotes on another blogger’s site, Political Housewyf, the other day, and I can’t get them out of my mind.  My favorites are in bold print:

‘If you don’t read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the
newspaper you are misinformed.’
-Mark Twain

Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress . . .
But then I repeat myself.

won’t take an interest in you!

Talk is cheap . . . except when Congress does it.

The government is like a baby’s alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at
one end and no responsibility at the other.

so..based on your quotes and post, i’m guessing you are voting for McCain?

Are you just afraid of Obama?

  2. 2 mamaneeds2rant October 23, 2008 at 1:17 pm

Damn scared. For so many reasons.

  3. 3 Jesse October 23, 2008 at 2:38 pm

i hear ya. aren’t you scared of mccain though?

  4. 4 mamaneeds2rant October 23, 2008 at 3:16 pm

I’m not thrilled with McCain, but I believe he has our best interests at heart. I also believe he will stand up to terrorists, make better decisions regarding our military, and stand up for our American Constitutional rights. Senator Obama has the most leftist voting record in our Senate, associates with America-hating terrorists, and will create a nanny state that will make too many people dependent on government services instead of taking responsibility for their own lives. This will only weaken our nation and suppress our risk-taking innovative spirit. Since Ron Paul doesn’t have a chance of winning, my vote definitely goes to McCain.

i know he is globalist and is all in favor of UN gun controls.
