When mama needs to rant, she does. But my audience is dispersing. My two younger boys are living on campuses that are not too far away, but they’re out of earshot. My hubby, aka “Big Daddy,” is out doing his thing in the big wide world. My dog cocks her head and looks at me, but she doesn’t seem to understand. My oldest son is a soldier in Iraq, and I’m hoping my ranting will make him feel like he’s not so far from home.
OK–I guess I better update: Youngest Son is still close enough to pop in and out of the home base. Oldest Son is now home from Iraq and trying to figure out what he wants to do next. And Middle Son J is far away in Germany for a year. Our dog, Sky, still looks at me with the same incredibly dumb but adorable look on her little boxer face.

No matter your son’s distance from home or age, I doubt he can escape his mother’s rants—no son can!

I am sure you here this alot but, I love your blog! I just looked at it out of curiosity when I saw the link in Soldier Son’s blog, but as soon as I started reading it was like I couldn’t stop because it’s so entertaining!

Thank you!! I’m glad you enjoy it. It’s kind of entertaining living these experiences, too!
I enjoyed reading your blog so much, that I started my own. Granted it doesn’t have the humor or anything in it, but it’s a start, and I can just speak my mind. BTW.. this is Sheri. =P
Cool. I’ll add you to my blogroll if you like.
Sure.. that would be awesome. obviously it’s Sheribear9202… i’ve written a few things already.
We have an adorable boxer, too, so I know The Look. Looking forward to exploring your site!
I stumbled across your post on networked blogs, I don’t generally post on those because I will only end up becoming fans of blogs I enjoy…yours is very entertaining and close to my heart as a menopausal, catching up to 50, wife and mom of 16 and 20 year old sons. If interested check me out at beglorious.blogspot.com
Have a glorious weekend!
Nice blog, Mama. Keep up the ranting
Thanks so much, Magus. And thanks for stopping by.
What I love most about us gals, is our fearlessnes. It’s not always ranting, it’s good hearty philosophy here. I have my flavor of, but I’ve enjoyed reading yours here today.
And thanks for stopping by. If you have a blog of your own, I would be interested in checking out your flavor of ranting and philosophy.
